After a recent snow, I headed to Devil’s Canyon to capture some images of the whitewashed canyon in the snow.
Upon my arrival with my two eager Labradors, I found a landscape blanketed in snow and the usual red canyon walls under a whitewashed disguise. A mile tromp through 6-8″ of powder, cutting fresh tracks much of the way, had the dogs in a bounding, blissful stage and me eager to make some images.
I flew my Mavic Pro for about an hour in the 20 mph winds and the heavy snowfall. The deep conditions required hand launch and landings in the first location and a sheltered overhang at the second location.
